Jameson Caskmates IPA Edition
Die süd-irische Midleton Distillery gibt sich derzeit sehr innovativ und experimentell: in Zusammenarbeit mit der Craft-Bier-Brauerei Franciscan Well in Cork wurde eine neue Abfüllung entwickelt, die ein Finish in Pale Ale Bier-Fässern erhalten hat. Fans von Jameson sollten bei ihrem nächsten Irland-Urlaub die Augen offen halten: Nur 2.000 Flaschen wurden produziert, und sie werden nur in Irland erhältlich sein. Der Geschmack wird als geschmeidig mit leichtem Anflug von Hopfen, frischen Zitrusaromen und floralen Noten beschrieben. Der Preis liegt bei ca. 39 Euro. Experimental Jameson Caskmates IPA Edition
It’s fitting that an idea crafted between two good friends should lead to an innovation between two great drinks. Like all the best Irish conversations, the one between Jameson’s Head of Whiskey Science and the Head Brewer of Cork’s Franciscan Well Brewery, started at the bar. A swapping of barrels soon after resulted in Jameson Caskmates Stout Edition – Jameson’s triple-distilled, blended Irish whiskey that has been patiently finished in Irish craft stout-seasoned barrels. Since launching in Ireland in 2015, it has been a huge success at satisfying the appetite of whiskey enthusiasts, Jameson drinkers and craft beer fans in over 40 markets worldwide. More conversations in more bars have since led to Jameson creating hyper-local small batch editions through collaborations with brewers in Sydney, Denver and Brooklyn.
Meanwhile, outside the bar, serious innovation has taken place and the latest experiment to come from Irish Distillers’ Midleton Distillery sees Jameson finished in craft Irish Pale Ale-seasoned barrels coming from Franciscan Well in Cork to create the Jameson Caskmates IPA Edition. This new taste experience will feature the signature smoothness of Jameson Irish Whiskey alongside hints of light hops, fresh citrus and floral notes.
